Be Brave -Osteoporosis management
Osteoporosis can be scary and confusing, often with lots of mixed advice and information leaving you stranded. At Valiant, we will help you making sense of it all and help you make more informed decisions about how to manage your osteoporosis.
The main goals of managing osteoporosis through a carefully tailored, evidence-based exercise program are:
Increase lean muscle mass
Reduce falls risk
Increase bone mineral density
The exercises that stimulate these types of changes in your body are high intensity resistance, bone loading and weight bearing exercises. This requires supervision for your safety and careful progressions to ensure we are getting the most of the program.
